Village to install Red Light Cameras. . .
At the March 17, 2008 City
Council meeting the Council approved Ordinance 2008-06 amending the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Jersey Village, Texas, by adding a
new article V to chapter 66 thereof; providing rules and regulations
implementing a photographic traffic signal enforcement system within
the city; providing definitions, and a civil penalty in an amount of
$75.00 for violation. Texas Department of Transportation has
approved the plans and construction is tentatively scheduled to
begin April 28, 2008. The cameras will be located at the traffic
signals at US290 & Senate, US290 & FM529, US290 & Jones Rd, and
US290 & N Eldridge. Please watch for more information at
